The animal is fighting, suddenly turning towards an unseen opponent, with the right front paw raised, the head turned to the shoulders, the jaws wide open, the body stretched and twisted, lowered towards the ground to gain momentum with the hind legs . The attitude is defensive or offensive, however concentrated on a vital situation. Some details are rendered realistically, but the whole is of great expressionistic effectiveness where the anatomical details of the fair are accentuated and deformed, albeit slightly, to convey the emotion of a dramatic event.
