Some of the animals on display in our Museum are in our collection for more than a century! This is why they may sometimes look a little worn. We look after them as best we can, of course, but we won’t replace them. How could we take new specimens from the wild, when we know how endangered some of these species already are? This old lion probably come from the trophy-hunting that was so popular amongst rich Europeans in the 20th century.
