' For four months, my life was completely involved in thinking, drawing, experimenting and making for Expo '92. New kilns were purchased and made, to allow works larger than ever before to be fired. A team of helpers was organised to help lift work too large for one alone. Fourteen pieces were completed to the firing stage.... only seven survived the fire. The last pieces came out of the kiln the morning of the final selection.The three works chosen were the last made and the most satisfying. Since Expo, I have become more aware than ever before just how much I love this land. How I love working with clay, the very stuff of this land. Papatuanuku - Mother Earth.
