Harris Glenn Milstead, known as Divine, was an American actor, singer, and drag queen. Divine had become a cult figure as Mr. John Water's longtime leading performer in films "Pink Flamingos," "Polyester," and "Hairspray." Divine generally portrayed garishly dressed women and fans knew him for his natural sense of comic timing and his uncanny gift for slapstick.
