The African Giant Swallowtail is the largest butterfly in Africa and one of the largest in the world! This specimen is 22cm from wing-tip to wing-tip. You might think being so large would make you a tasty treat for any nearby predators, but African giant swallowtails actually have no natural enemies as they are highly toxic if eaten.
