Lynn Museum
King's Lynn, United Kingdom

The Paragon was a two masted brig used mainly for carrying coal. The ship is shown off the East Yorkshire coast with Bridlington in the background. A small boat or Yorkshire cobble is taking the pilot off on the right and the 'B' painted on it stands for Bridlington. The ship was owned by R.N. Coston, who was given the freedom of Lynn. The style of the watercolour is naive.
