Paris Boulevard

Urban view of a large avenue in a French city lit up at night. A car is driving along the foreshortened road, and the pavements are animated by numerous figures. A series of whitish street lamps illuminate the street, on the left side of which is the façade and tower of a religious building.

Painted during his stay in Paris in the spring and autumn of 1885.
The façade of the religious building seen on the left could possibly be identified with the Abbey of Saint Denis in Paris.
