Motor Officer Bernard "Bones" McClean tries to determine which vehicles deserve parking tickets as a crowd of spectators gathers. Two small cars and a motorcycle all parked in a single space with time remaining on the meter. From the Evening Outlook newspaper: " Who Gets The Ticket??? That question perplexes Motor Officer Bernard (Bones) McClean, pictured above scratching his head as he thumbs through the policeman's bible, California Vehicle Code, in search of the answer. Here's his problem: Two midget autos and a motorcycle are parked in one 22-foot parking space and there is a half hour's parking time indicated on the meter in left foreground. One of the three is parked legally. But which one? And which two get tickets? Spectators weren't much help in solving the problem but neither was the bible. Bones couldn't find chapter and verse to back him up, but he said he thought the car parked nearest the meter was parked legally."
