To mark the change of the goalpost at the Maracanã Stadium in 1968, Barbosa and the press were called. It is said that one of the beacons stayed with Barbosa and, years later, he told journalists that he had burned it as firewood for a barbecue. The other beam ended up in the city of Muzambinho, Minas Gerais. After some time in use in the city's amateur field, it became the collection of the local House of Culture. The piece portrayed in the photo was donated by the institution's team to Tereza Borba, the former goalkeeper's daughter, in 2014.
