Passage of the French over Moncenisio (April 19th 1859)

Carlo Bossoli's paintings, commissioned by Prince Eugenio of Savoy Carignano, illustrate the main events of the 1859 war. They represent the Piedmontese point of view, which can be compared, in the same room, with the Austrian as well the French lithographs, by Doré.
