Thermoforming is the most important traditional production technique of Boshan colored glaze. Craftsmen melt the raw material of glaze in high temperature more than 1000℃, then use various tools to process it by blowing, stretching, kneading and other techniques.
During thermoforming process, the working environment of craftsmen is rather difficult. The kiln workshop is very hot, and the high temperature is intolerable. They take out the hot glazed material from the furnace with iron sticks and shuttle back and forth in the workshop. Everyone is sweaty and flushed. This scene is playing out in the workshop every day. For these busy craftsmen, there is only one season — hot summer.
