Museo Sefardí
Toledo, Spain

Painted canvas with scenes from Genesis and the Exodus related to the liberation from slavery in Egypt that the Jews commemorate during the Passover festival, together with vignettes that capture the different moments of the seder or ritual dinner that takes place during this holiday.
Below, in a scalloped border, the date of the pastry's creation appears, in Hebrew, in the phrase: "Next year in Jerusalem."
On the sides, four cups are represented that recall four promises: I will redeem you, I will take you, I will take you out and I will save you.
Also, on each side, the four types appear that represent the different attitudes towards the celebration: the wise, the wicked, the naive and the one who does not know how to ask.
