Duncan Toys Company is most famous for its line of yo-yos. The firm also manufactures spinning tops. These are the basic, string-wound tops. Players wind and then "throw" the tops off the end of their strings, creating a spin. Duncan apparently sponsored spinning top contests around the middle of the twentieth century. the firm awarded patches to winners of these events.
