Patent letters from the Duke of Milan, Gian Galeazzo Visconti, in which he orders the Captain of Lake Maggiore, the Vicar of Locarno, the podestà (chief magistrate) of Intra and Pallanza, and all the officials who were responsible for extracting the serizzo (a type of metamorphic rock) from the fields and vineyards of Lake Maggiore that were needed for the Church of Milan without any form of payment by the Veneranda Fabbrica for said Church.
