Pavilion of Yemen - general view

The National Pavilion of Yemen's core objective is to depict the strong boundary between Yemeni cultural heritage and Yemeni national identity, taking vernacular architecture as an example. The promotion and the transmission of traditional building techniques have been proven vital for the preservation of the authenticity and the charm of Yemen’s historic centers. This will be even more urgent during the post-war period, since this operation is worthwhile both for the safeguarding of the architectural heritage and for the generation of sustainable microeconomic systems that will create new revival opportunities in a context deeply affected by poverty and unemployment.
