Shepard Fairey (USA) for many the most important figure of urban art, Shepard highly influenced by his predecessors Keith Haring and Andy Warhol has taken his signature OBEY the ends of the earth and beyond as the new NASA logo has been designed by the American artist. Shepard began as a young student excited about the skate culture, roots that still stand as a pillar in the aesthetics of his work. Which in many cases is highly political to the point of being the artist who designed the poster of the current President of the United States to the cartel "Hope" is currently exhibited at the CAC Málaga. The clothing brand and signature of the artist, OBEY, has become a fashion icon of alternative sub - cultures. Shepard was one of the first artists to break the barrier of galleries and museums for artists from abroad, we recall the exhibition at the ICA in Boston in 2009 as an important date in this changing scenario.
