As the previous work, this is also a sculpture of a peasant woman, a girl, signed by the same Oscar Han (1891 – 1976). He was Frederic Storck’s student at National School of Fine Arts, and his first notable work caught the public’s eye when he was only 20. In 1917, Han was one of the 30 artists, painters and sculptors, sent on the front of the Great General Army Headquarters, in order to artistically recreate scenes inspired by the battles fought by the Romanian army.
