Cooperstown, United States

Depicts the preparatory school baseball team posed around an urn on a pedestal in front of the main school building, later known as Wilson Hall. Players do not wear identical uniforms, but are dressed in a variety of mismatched baseball clothing with jerseys, shirts, knickers, and caps in different colors and patterns. Several hold bats. The catcher rests his equipment (mask, glove and chest protector) in front of him and the scorekeeper, dressed in a suit, holds a scorebook and pencil.

Image includes two known players: Lester Meseroll and Henry B. Pogson (probably the young man in the front row with the catcher's gear). Others unidentified.
