Pelican Armchair

This project is the synthesis and improvement of Arnoult's trajectory since the 1950s in Brazil, in search of functional and cheap furniture. Simplicity is your keyword. Only four battens attach the cotton canvas to the structure made of solid eucalyptus. Thus, the canvas can be easily removed and washed. It is easy to transport, due to its light weight (9 kilos) and compact packaging (74 x 68 x 6 cm). Won the 17th Design MCB Award. The piece is part of the MCB Collection, and is available for viewing at the long-term exhibition at the Museu da Casa Brasileira called ‘Remains of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection’.
