Pena

Pena is a string instrument from Assam which has a parched coconut shell belly. It has a lathe-finished wooden finger board and single horse hair string. Pena is played with a horse hair bow with an arched iron rod with jingle bells and bamboo handle. It is commonly used in traditional music and dance forms in Assam.
