This pendant, carved fully in the round, is in the form of a crouching lion with its limbs drawn up under the body. The lion looks back over its shoulder and grips a waterbird in its mouth. The bird-likely a swan-swivels its head around and rests its bill on its back. Three perforations pierce the lion's neck, to suspend the amulet with the lion's head up.
