Oval pendant made from melting down and beating out old aluminium cooking pots, then decorating it with an incised pattern worked with a small splay ended awl. Made by a male craftsman who said he learned how to make them from the somali in the northern frontier (Mogadishu) during the war with the Italians. Worn by women, especially young women attached to their necklaces.
