Trento, Italy

The literature states that Simon's body was lavishly dressed with clothes that were changed periodically and decorated with jewels donated by the devout. Based on a photograph dated circa 1951, it was possible to recognise the pieces of jewerly: the gold medaillon offered together with a crown of pearls by queen Maria Anna of Spain, who visited Trento in 1649, in exchange for a relic of the boy to be taken back to Madrid.
