The bronze monument of the former mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Pereira Passos (1836-1913), was an initiative of the City Hall employees as a form of gratitude to the great reformer of the city. In the statue, he is represented by the body in bronze on granite pedestal, and in the hands of the Central Avenue project.
