Medium sized perforated schist disk with a centered biconical perforation. Thickness of the disk varies greatly, and there are three areas that have been chipped, possibly to reduce differences in thickness. Edges are abraded and scratched. Wear is concentrated on one face. This perforated disk was recovered from a habitation area of the Pueblo Grande site. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period. Museum Accession: 1996.17
