These concerts were part of a unique initiative by Maria Adelaide Freitas Gonçalves, called “Series of Concerts” which also included the presentation of Bach’s full work “The Well-Tempered Clavier” by the pianist Helena Sá e Costa, commented by the composer Claúdio Carneyro at Conservatory of Music of Porto. Helena Sá e Costa gave, in Portugal, the first hearing of "The Well Tempered Cravo", of Bach in the National Broadcaster, in 1940 (1st volume) and 1943 (2nd volume).
