A Chantilly figure of a Magot seated in an open robe. It is painted with shaped panels of flowers in Kakiemon colours on a pale manganese ground, seated with a terrestrial globe between his legs with ormolu cover. There is scrolling foliage and porcelain flowerheads. The rim to the bowl at the Equator is painted with signs of the zodiac, and it is on rocky grasswork and ormolu base.
