Wooden bell-shaped perpetual calender - possibly dating to mid - 19th century. The cylinder is divided in two and has veneered or lacquered exterior. The top broader section has a classical image of a woman and plants. Opposite this a small window in the veneer reveals the month - the external veneer layer can be rotated to change the month visible. There is a grid of numbers below this. The lower base level shows the days of the week. The device rotates on an iron rod with a copper washer.
