Written and drawn memories of school in Thailand, created by Souksavanh who came to Australia as a refugee. The document has been created from three sheets of unlinded paper stuck together on the reverse with masking tape. the text reads "This is my school in Nong Khai. It was a big school. There were more school buildings too. It was two storeys. About 200 children went to this school. We learnt Thai, Laotian, some English and French. There was a big fence all around the school. It was wooden. In the morning at 8 o'clock we have to stand outside the school because the Thai flag had to go up. School finished at 5 o'clock. I didn't like this school because the teachers hit me. Around the school by the fence were somes trees. There was a sports field. On special days we had to parade around the whole camp. I like Pennington Primary School. By Souksavanh." On the last sheet of paper is a drawing in coloured texta of a building in a yard with stick figures.
