A linocut by the Angolan-Namibian artist John Muafangejo (1943-1987) titled Petelena Hamupolo done in 1980. The work is a tribute to Muafangejo's mother Petelena Hamupolo who died on 16 November 1979 in Angola. John could not go to her funeral due to the war between South Africa and Angola. Short Biography: John Ndevasia Muafangejo was born in 1943 in Etunda lo Nghadi, Angola. He studied at Rorke's Drift in KwaZulu Natal in 1969 after s stint as a teacher at Odibo he moved to Windhoek in 1977. He died 27 November 1987 in Katutura Township in Windhoek Namibia.
