Peter Murphy remembering Sydney's First Mardi Gras

Peter Murphy was 25 when the first Sydney Mardi Gras parade took place on June 24 1978. In this interview he recalls in detail the events of that night and how he was one of 53 people arrested. He describes the beating he received from a police officer and how he was only spared further injury when another cop intervened.
