Circular wooden discs fitted onto the panels of this chest had carvings on them, which were covered up with a recent coat of paint applied over it. It was the only peti recorded with elaborate carvings of this kind and had been gifted to the owner by a friend. This unique peti had previously been used in an office to keep important documents and money and it is now used in the house to store items and as a display feature.
