Photograph of the Artillery Major Petros Saroglos (1865-1920). A great benefactor of the Hellenic Armed Forces. Saroglos managed to gather a large collection, consisting of works of art, jewellery, coins and mainly weapons. This personal cabinet de curiosité he donated to the Hellenic Army, to form the core of an impressive exhibit that includes offensive and defensive, combat weapons and firearms, mainly from the Balkan Peninsula, Western Europe and Asia. These weapons are heirlooms that allow the visitor to reconstruct scenes from the history of the martial culture of peoples from every corner of the planet and which captivate their interest due to their unique artistic aesthetics.
