Pewter Corridor

The Pewter Corridor takes its name from a collection of pewter which was displayed in the corridor in the 20th-century. After Dumfries House was saved for the nation by HRH The Duke of Rothesay, the celings were restored by Mark Niven of Niven of Edinburgh, with the assistance of a team of dedicated apprentices, some of whom were as young as sixteen.
