PH-M88 mini-boombox with removable Walkman microcassettes

Portable radio cassette recorders with radio and tape recorders had their heyday in the 1970s and early 1980s. Radio recorders with large speakers and many additional functions were called ghetto blasters, named after the neighborhoods of socially disadvantaged African Americans. However, this device belonged to the upper class. Instead of a normal compact cassette, there is a removable Walkman in the device, which in turn uses the smaller micro cassettes as the recording medium.
