Notting Hill Carnival
Boots alongside Carlton "Zigilee" Constantine was a pioneer of the Steel Pan in Trinidad. Boots arrived in Britain as a member of the Trinidad All-Steel Percussion Orchestra (TASPO) to perform at the 1951 Festival of Britain. He and fellow band member Sterling Betancourt decided to stay on in Britain after the tour.
