This Victor product known as an "Electrola" was essentially an electric version of the earlier Victrola hand-cranked record players. In addition to the record player, it featured a radio built into the cabinet below the turntable. The Electrola played records at 78 RPMs. The Walker's extant record collection is comprised primarily of popular music and classical numbers. The music cabinet is a prominent feature of the Walker's den which was a more casual social space as opposed to the formal parlor.
