Yellow Star. Yellow Star of David or Jewish Star is the name given to the Star of David in the form of a yellow badge that Jews were required to wear in public as a distinctive sign of Jewish Identity and Judaism in Nazi Germany. Donated by Maya Mautner Schaffer. Photocopy of a patch of yellow fabric in the form of a badge with a Star of David over the letter “Z” for Zidov (“Jew” in Serbo-Croatian).
