On October 9, 1924, on the 50th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union, an official function took place in the atrium of the Empire's Postal Museum (Reichspostmuseum). The guests included the Reich President Friedrich Ebert (1st row, 2nd from the left) and the widow of Heinrich von Stephan, along with many politicians, businessmen, scientists, and public administrators.
