Portrait of King Edward VII. in the Austrian marshal's uniform, taken in 1904 in Marienbad during the meeting with Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. The picture was originally shot in apartments at the hotel Weimar and it was made after retouches in 1908. J. F. Langhans was Czech portrait photographer, he owned ateliers in Prague, Pilsen and Mariánské Lázně. Langhans was very innovative in his work and in the concept of advertising and graphic design. He had a significant company car, which was also used as a mobile advertising panel. He made utility items and postcards. He was also one of the first photographer who used electric lighting.
