Walt Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," which premiered in 1937, was the first full-length animated feature film. The work was the first of a string of successes for the Walt Disney Studios, winning several film awards and later named as one of the top 100 most important films of all time. Press photographs featuring scenes from the film were likely circulated to theater owners and to newspapers, in advance of screenings.
