Photographic lobby card for the Hindi film 'Amanat', released in the year 1955.
The card shows two lead characters, Pradeep (unidentified child actor, adult version of the character later played by Bharat Bhushan) and his mother (Achala Sachdev), along with three other supporting actors; two women and a man. The frame depicts the characters from the initial quarter of the movie. To the extreme left is the male character wearing a kurta, holding an umbrella in his hand. He has a scared, pitiful look on his face. Next is the mother holdng her son in her embrace, with her left hand on his head, both are looking at the woman (dresses in a white sari, possibly a widow) who is standing in side profile view, with a mean look on her face, pointing a finger at the man. Next to her is another female character dressed in a sari, standing in side profile view looking in the same direction.
On the bottom centre of the frame is text that reads (from left to right) 'Bimal Roy PRODUCTIONS', followed by the name of the movie 'Amanat' and next to it is 'DIRECTED BY ARABIND SEN'.
