In the frame, Umrao Begum is sitting inside a palanquin with her hands clasped, towards the left side of the frame. Mirza Ghalib is standing next to the palnquin, with his right and resting on the palnquin and his left hand held out in a manner of questioning.
On the bottom border of the card are the main credits for the movie. Starting from left to right, first comes the logo of the producttion banner, Minerva Movietone and right under the logo is text reading 'MINERVA', next line; 'MOVIETONE', next line; 'PRESENTS'. Next to this is 'MIRZA GHALIB', followed by 'PRODUCED &', next line; 'DIRECTED BY', next line; 'SOHRAB MODI'.
