Photographic lobby card for the Hindi film 'Vidyapati', released in the year 1964.

The card features two actresses and an actor (characters unidentified), Simi Garewal, possibly Nazima and Bharat Bhushan. In the frame, towards the extreme left is Simi Garewal (only her face), dressed like a bride. She is wearing jewellery on her forehead (maang tika), neck and the ears, along with a bindi and painted dots-decoration over the eyebrows, typical to Hindu brides. On the right side of the frame, Bharat Bhushan and Nazima are sitting, facing each other. Bharat Bhushan is wearing an embroidered kurta and is sitting with his hands cross-folded and rested over his arms. He is holding a small tree branch in his right hand, touching Nazima's chin with its end. Nazima is sitting towards the extreme right, dressed in a veil, a blouse and a lehenga. Her chin is resting on her right hand as both of them star into each other's eyes. On the bottom border, towards the extreme left are the credits of the film, printed on a separate piece of paper and stuck onto the card. Starting from the left, first comes an illustration of a carved pillar. Next to it in the first line is 'S.L. JALAN PRESENTS', next line; 'Chitra Vihar's', next line; 'Vidyapati' (English). Under this name, towards the right is the name of the film in Devanagari script. In the last line is 'Direction PRAHLAD SHARMA Music V. Balsara'. Under 'V. Balsara' is 'Ednajoren' (check- not completely legible). The image is surrounded by a thin deep yellowish border (possibly hand-painted).
