Photographic lobby still for the Hindi film 'Jagte Raho' (check translation), released in
the year 1956.
The still shows the setting of the Doctor's (Nana Palsikar) clinic from the point where
he and his partner in crime Ramnarayan Babu (Nemo) find the village (Raj Kapoor)
hiding on the cot which they plan to use for sending their illegal money outside the building.
In the frame, Doctor is bent down and holding the villager by his shoulder with his
right hand. His left hand is rolled in a fist. The villager is down on the ground, dressed
in soiled clothes. Ramnarayan Babu is standing towards the left, looking down at the
two characters and is holding out his left hand in a manner of stopping Doctor. There
is a cot behind these characters on which a lot of cash is spread all around. in the farther
background, there are two other male characters who play the role of goons/aids in the
illegal currency business. Two floodlight lamps can be seen hanging from the ceiling.
Some medical equipment and lights can also be seen in the farther background.
On the bottom border, towards the left, is a composition of illustration and text.
Starting from the left is a silhouette of a man (possibly Raj Kapoor's character
of the villager), next to this is 'Raj Kapoor's', overlapping with the name of the
movie 'JAGTE RAHO' (English). Right under the movie's name is 'Written and
Directed by-' followed by 'SOMBHU MITRA . AMIT MAITRA'. The text is followed
by an illustration of a street lamp and a builiding. Towards the bottom right corner
is the logo of the production company R.K. Films.
