Photographic lobby still for the Hindi 'Roop Basant', released in 1955.
The image shows a scene where a woman is trapped in a cage. She has both her hands on the bars of the cage, that is round at the bottom but narrows to a point on the top. A man stands in an authoritative pose just beside the cage, and is looking sternly at the woman inside. Flanking them are two women, one on each side. Behind them, on the left side, is a giant demonic face, possibly taken from a sculpture. The eyes have concentric circles and the canines of the face are long and sharp, like those of carnivorous animals.
Below the image is text that reads (from left to right) 'Shah Pictures PRESENT', 'Roop Basant' (in English and Devanagari), followed by 'DIRECTED BY A. M. KHAN', and 'PRODUCED BY RAMNIKLAL N. SHAH'.
