Photographs carried by President Abraham Lincoln's assassin, actor John Wilkes Booth, at the time of his capture. The women included Booth’s supposed secret fiancée, Lucy Hale, and four actress friends: Alice Grey, Effie Germon, Fannie Brown, and Helen Western. Lucy Hale was the daughter of Senator John P. Hale, a well-known abolitionist.
