Salamanca, Spain

Iridescent glass vase designed by Max Ritter von Spaun, made by the Johan Loetz Witwe glassworks, which achieved great recognition thanks to designers such as Ritter von Spaun, who designed the Phänomen and Papillon series. Loetz began producing iridescent glass imitating Tiffany's in the late 19th century, although he soon developed his own technique and style. Iridescent glass is meant to imitate the brilliance of ancient glassworks found in excavations.
