Pick-up Sticks were a popular toy offered by the A. Schoenhut Co. of Philadelphia, a company that first sold toy pianos in 1870. The O. Schoenhut Co., managed by Otto continued making wooden toys after his father Albert's company filed for bankruptcy during the Great Depression. A set of sticks with the same brand name, 4-5-6, was offered by Lakeside Industries in 1972.
