A stool is also known as piddi in Haryana. The webbing of this piddi was woven using cotton ropes by the eldest man of the family. It was washed every two to three months to keep the white ropes clean and dust free. When women from the neighbourhood visited the residence for socialising, this piddi was offered to them for sitting.
